Areas of Photographic Practice A - MIS

Brief

Constructed Narratives

Students must produce a cohesive photographic project (or equivalent i.e. moving image) that responds to the theme of constructed visual narratives. Distinguishing characteristics of the visual narrative include a persuasive story with a point of view.

Emphasis will be placed upon the control of meaning, reading and reception of the intended message in respect to a given narrative construct.

The importance of understanding your audience and the significance of final display modes and forms will act as key criteria.

Final assessment component

Component 1
Edited photographic project or equivalent (60%)

Component 2
Research blog (40%)
